Uncle Joe's New York Diner

I have lived in the Ruskin area for years, I went to the highschool up the street, went to the college up the street, I am very familiar with the area. What I have always overlooked....was this place. I thought that Denny's was my only option, and I was tired of eating the same things over and over again. I work in Sarasota now and by the time I'm off of work 12:00am, everything is closed. One day I was driving by and I saw all of these lights, so I looked up the restaurant on Google, and decided to give it a try. Upon entry I was greeted by a server named Gabby. She was nice, peppy, knew everything on the menu, the history of the restaurant as well as the area. The empanada was AMAZING, served with the hot honey sauce with a side cucumber salad...I would have taken a picture of it if I hadn't of eaten it so fast. The fried shrimp was the best I have had in a long time. The Philly cheese steak sandwich was great, the barbecue burger was very good as well, I have gotten the omelette, bacon, fish and chips, you name it. I have tried to order something different Everytime. This is a place you can't get bored of as they have a large menu, so suit anything. You are in the mood for. I have never had an issue with any of the food, everything is ALWAYS hot and good. This has become my go to, and Gabby is my got to have server. Shout out to the chefs as well.

We came here for first time to see what this was bout since we don't live to far out .. we told them we was allergic to seed oils and vegetable oils and we asked that our food was cooked in butter and they committed our request.. the breakfast options are awesome they serve you real butter with your pancakes and actual table syrup. The canolli pancakes are the ultimate breakfast.. we noticed the food taste was on point and not to overpowered on sweetness.. I personally just ordered 3 classic pancakes,4 over easy eggs and turkey bacon it was awesome we will definitely come back!!!

Great chocolate shakes! Great burgers and the gyro platter was very good! They even gave us a complimentary plate. Only con I would say is the dessert was alittle stale.

The place has some wonderful staff that are eager to greet you. The food that I had was amazing. Their bisquits are wonderful. The cheese grits with shrimp are to die for. Melissa is an absolute charm to have wait on you.

We tried this place because I’m pregnant right now and everything seems to close down at 9pm in the Tampa Bay Area, and a 24 hour diner sounded damn good to me.Well I can promise you Uncle Joe’s sure as heck did not disappoint!From the second we walked in we were greeted by the super cheerful and kind Gabby and that set the whole tone for us.The food was incredible and we were even each offered a complimentary Beef Empanada and Greek Cucumber Salad (incredible!) We shared everything we got and we got a lot and it sure as heck didn’t disappoint and truly hit the spot!Fettuccine Alfredo, Cheeseburger Fries, a Monte Cristo Sandwich, Chicken and Rice Soup, and a Cookies N Cream Milkshake and we were STUFFED to the brim!We can’t wait to come back and I’m sure those middle of the night cravings will have us driving out here to have some more!

Great service, delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere! Everything is full of flavor and big portions for a great price. Milkshakes are thick and creamy and they have good drink specials too!

Just randomly stopped in and so happy we did. Seated right away, server Kimberly was awesome and the owner Maria came over as well, she gave us some complimentary apps. Just reminded me what customer service really looks like haven’t seen that in a while. Much deserved 5/5 I wanted diner food and that’s what I got!
